If you haven’t already, it’s time to add the word “Skypercise” to your fitness lexicon.
The relatively new workout trend — which, of course, means to exercise via Skype — is catching on fast with tech-savvy fitness enthusiasts.
Fitness gurus across North America, such as Pilates instructor Jennifer Pilates, are offering virtual classes.
Here are a few more Skypercise options that have been brought to my attention:
• Do yoga with nine other friends from various locations by simply propping up their laptops and connecting via Skype Group Video Calling <http://www.skype.com/intl/en/features/allfeatures/group-video-calls>.
• Test out new Pilates moves from one’s living room with a fitness buddy across the country on a Skype-enabled TV or Blu-ray player <http://www.skype.com/intl/en/get-skype/on-your-tv/>.
• Call their personal trainer or aerobics instructor and see the latest work-out plan while on-the-go with Skype video calling on your mobile <http://www.skype.com/intl/en/get-skype/on-your-mobile/> (available on the iPhone, iPad or Android).
